LEBANON, Ind. — A formal groundbreaking for the City of Lebanon’s new $1.5 million Memorial Park Pool was held on Friday, August 23, 2013.

“The new pool will be an outstanding amenity for residents of Lebanon,” said Mayor Harold “Huck” Lewis.  “It will become a cornerstone of the outstanding quality of life that we enjoy in our City.”

Taking inspiration from the City’s previous Seashore Pool, the new pool will prominently feature a beach entry area.  Other improvements will include a multi-use pool area, lazy river, new decking and new energy efficient pool mechanical systems.  It will be constructed on the site of the existing pool, allowing the existing bathhouse to be re-used.

Officials expect that the pool will open for Memorial Day 2014.
