Central Indiana Power Headquarters Renovation

  This project provided a new office environment for the employees of Central Indiana Power by renovating an existing facility. The project employed sustainable practices in design and construction including reuse of existing site, geothermal heating system, native plantings, daylighting, and access to the Pennsy Trail.
   
 

Project Highlights:

  • Project Cost - $6 million
  • Renovation of 32,000 square feet of office and warehouse space
  • Construction of 10,000 square foot new service bay
  • New architecturally attractive front entry feature
  • New geothermal heating and cooling system
  • Approximately 3,000 square feet of storm shelter within the building
  • New community room and plaza
  • Construction completed while CIP still occupied the building
  • Received a 2008 Merit Award from ACEC Indiana for its sustainable design-build renovation of CIP's headquarters building and campus
