I-69 Tier 2 Environmental Study

HWC has partnered with three other firms to provide environmental analysis and documentation of the impacts of the proposed interstate. This nationally recognized project requires intensive, ongoing public involvement throughout the design process, to insure that all local concerns are addressed in the final decision.  

Project Highlights:

  • Project Cost - $1.8 billion (construction)
  • Study of 29 mile section of I-69
  • Analyze historical, environmental, cultural resources, aesthetic, archeological, air/noise/water quality issues, natural resources, wetlands, floodplains, and hazardous materials issues
  • Insure all local concerns are addressed in the final decision
  • Produce engineering report to guide subsequent design phases of project
  • Sustainable practices will be implemented to protect environmental rich areas
