Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

This project provided a new wastewater treatment facility for the residents on the south side of Tuscola.  

Project Highlights:

  • Project Cost - $3.4 million
  • New 1.25 MGD oxidation ditch wastewater treatment facility
  • New 15 million gallon flow equalization basin
  • Converted existing, abandoned plant to an anoxic, low sludge yield facility
  • First disposal of caked sludge
  • State-of-the-art, web-based monitor provided 35% rated capacity for daily average flow
