Water System Improvements
City of Attica, Indiana

HWC provided the engineering services necessary for the planning, design and construction inspection for this project. The upgrades developed a new “two-zone” pressure system whereby a new 500,000 gallon elevated tank supplied higher elevated eastern areas of the city and an existing reservoir served the western areas of the city to improve pressures and flows and allow for growth to the East and South of the city.

Project Highlights:

  • Project Cost - $2.1 million
  • 500,000 gallon elevated storage tank, booster pump station upgrade, and distribution supply system upgrade
  • Installation of approximately 20,000 LF of 6, 8, and 12 inch mains and appurtenances
  • Implemented two-zone pressure system including five control valve structures
  • Implemented updated controls for wells and storage tanks
