Wheeler Mission

Wheeler Mission Ministries is a non-denominational, Christian, social services organization, which provides critically needed goods and services to homeless, poor, and needy of central Indiana without regard to race, color, creed, national origin or religion. Wheeler is not a church, but does cooperate with many different churches that are concerned about poverty and homelessness in the inner city.

Founded in 1893, Wheeler is the oldest continuously operating ministry of its kind in the state of Indiana. Click for more history. With five locations, dozens of ministries, a budget of $4 million, and about 75 employees, Wheeler is the also the largest and most diverse ministry of its kind in the state.

In December 2007, four employees from our Indianapolis office volunteered to serve lunch at the Wheeler Mission. The same office also volunteered time at the Wheeler Lighthouse Men's Mission on February 4, 2008. Ten employees served meals to over 100 people.

Fayette Elementary School

Hannum, Wagle & Cline Engineering, along with Garmong Construction Services, completed this 70,000 square foot building, located in New Goshen, in 2004. This project was one of three elementary schools being built concurrently for the Vigo County School Corporation in preparation for the 2004-2005 school year. Students enjoy a new learning environment that provides significantly more space in their classrooms, media center, literacy center, divisible gym and cafeteria, and an added courtyard feature.

This year, we continue our Partners in Education program with Fayette. A monetary donation was made to supply breakfast or lunch at Fayette's Child Improvement Awards ceremony.
