INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Nine on Canal Apartments is developing Phase II of the project to expand on the existing student/corporate living market in downtown Indianapolis. Phase I was completed in 2014 and included 304 apartment units, nearly 8,000 square feet of retail space and a parking garage with 278 spaces. Phase II plans for a $37 million investment to redevelop 1.7 acres that is currently occupied by a warehouse. The existing building will be demolished and replaced with nearly 200 additional apartment units, 15,000 square feet of retail space and a 175-space parking garage.
HWC partnered with the developer, Investment Property Advisors (IPA), on the first phase to complete the offsite water engineering. We are continuing to grow our relationship with IPA and will be performing both survey and site engineering on the second phase of the project.
Nine on Canal Apartments, located right on the canal, are appealing to students as well as business professionals looking for apartment living with the ease of an extended stay hotel.
