Southside Park

HWC was hired by the City of Indianapolis to provide conceptual design, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration services for improvements to Southside Park, located near the University of Indianapolis. Throughout the design process, HWC engaged with community and UIndy stakeholders to gather input and incorporate feedback into the project.

The improvements include a new playground, four new pickleball courts, a renovated picnic shelter, new seating areas, a walking trail, outdoor fitness equipment, a new basketball court, and parking improvements. Construction was completed by Power & Sons Construction in April 2026.
