Shields Park Pool

HWC provided comprehensive project management, site design, and engineering services for the renovation of Shields Park Pool in Seymour, Indiana, helping transform the existing aquatic facility into a modern, engaging destination for the community. Working with the City of Seymour, HWC developed and led a team of professional engineers to enhance the facility’s functionality, safety, accessibility, and long-term performance while expanding recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.

The project includes replacement of the main pool mechanical system, demolition of the existing children’s splash deck, design of a new children’s activity pool and concessions seating area, replacement of the waterslide, and development of a new mechanical building with restrooms. Through thoughtful site planning and coordinated engineering, HWC is helping create a refreshed aquatic environment that delivers an improved experience for visitors and supports the City’s vision for a vibrant community recreational amenity. The renovated Shields Park Pool is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027.
