Stormwater System Improvements

Following the completion of a Townwide stormwater study, HWC assisted the Town in developing a stormwater improvements project. The Town obtained a matching grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (IOCRA).

The first phase of improvements for the project involved several small improvement locations throughout the Town. These improvements reduce persistent, frequent flooding seen by the residents of Farmersburg. The improvements included hybrid swales, ditches, culverts, and traditional storm sewers. This project also included the cleaning and televising of a storm sewer line along with the cleaning of culverts under the railroad.
