Eric Smith, PE serves as HWC Engineering's director of water resources. A graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Mr. Smith has more than 26 years of experience in the management, planning, design and construction of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater and facility site development projects.
Mr. Smith has managed many diverse projects for municipalities, corporations and agencies throughout Indiana. Mr. Smith is also the city engineer of record for several communities, advising them on all aspects of water, wastewater, stormwater drainage and other municipal engineering operations and needs.
Having spent his entire professional career with HWC, Smith has helped clients of all sizes find innovative, cost-effective solutions to their infrastructure needs
A partner at HWC, Smith is actively involved in various industry organizations. He currently serves on and is a past Chairperson of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Environmental Business Committee and is an active member in the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA), the Indiana section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Smith also serves on the board of advisors for the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Civil Engineering Department.
