City Park Lift Station and Force Main

The scope of design services for this project included preliminary and final engineering/permitting to replace an existing duplex lift station and force main serving approximately 200 homes, along with providing construction phase services. The new duplex lift station and 2,500’ of 6” directionally drilled force main has the capacity to serve up to 180 additional homes. The new duplex submersible lift station includes the wet well with 360 gpm pumps, valve vault, pad-mounted emergency generator, and electrical/controls. The lift station is located within City Park (formal name of the park), which required close coordination with the parks department with respect to aesthetics and safety precautions. This coordination allowed the park and its daycare center to remain open for the duration of the construction of the project.

The new lift station was put into operation in early 2026 with demolition of the old facilities and force main abandonment occurring in the spring.

The $1.6 million project was completed with local funds.
