Ohio River Greenway Trail
HWC provided survey, design, and construction services for this portion of the Ohio River Greenway (ORG), which created two new walking trails traveling west from the existing amphitheater park to the newly constructed recreational park and boat ramp. One trail winds along the river bank as a continuation of the ORG, while a second trail utilizes the top of the existing levee with a ramp bordered by natural cut limestone blocks. The trails feature lighting, landscaping, and benches and picnic tables.
Permits required included IDEM 401/USACOE 404, USACOE 408, IDNR Construction in a Floodway, and IDEM CSGP.
